DIY Baby Boy Card Ideas With Stickers + Freebies

Dear Friend,

DIY Baby Boy Card Ideas With Stickers + FreebiesI recently published a post with a baby girl card ideas, but now I’ve decided to do the same for baby boys.

The presented baby boy card ideas can be great for occasions such as congratulations on a new baby, baby shower or birthdays.

My ideas are based on the use of paper and stickers. They are not complicated to do and look pretty good for handmade. You can, of course, make changes as you pleased, feel free to create something different.

I have created two free sticker printables for baby boy cards (blue baby suit and baby sheep rocking rider) which you can download by subscribing to my blog in the form at the end of this post and get them right away.

The following are step-by-step tutorials.

BABY BOY CARD IDEA #1 – BLUE BABY SUIT

Blue baby suit card idea

It’s a classical baby boy card. I find it gorgeous and it’s definitely very easy to make.

Supplies you need for the blue baby suit greeting card:

  • Light Gray Cardstock (This is for the base)
  • Light Blue Sheet of Paper
  • One Blue Baby Suit Sticker & Two Star Stickers
  • Glue (Any Kind)
  • Brown Rustic Twine
  • Two Blue Mini Wooden Pegs
  • Pen, Scissors & Ruler

STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL FOR BLUE BABY SUIT CARD (See photos below):

Step #1 – Make the basis for the card

Take a light gray cardstock and fold it in half. This is the base of the card.

Step #2 – Cut out the message ribbon

Use a light blue sheet of paper to make the message ribbon. Measures depend on the size of your star stickers.
In my case, star stickers were 1 cm bright and that was the height of my blue ribbon. The width was 8 cm.

Step #3 – Cut out brown rustic twine

Depending on the size of your folded cardstock e.g. your base you have to decide on the size of the twine. In my case, it was 10 cm. You have to consider that a blue baby suit should hang on this.

Step #4 & #5 – Glue up mini wooden pegs & add suit sticker

I was measuring 0.5 cm from the top and 1 cm from the side edges of the card for the position for two blue mini wooden pegs.

Tip: You can have the same blue baby suit sticker that I have used. All you have to do is subscribe to my blog at the end of the post and get the printable free!

First glue up one peg, then hang the twine on it and after that glue up the second peg. Finally, add a blue baby suit in the middle of the twine.
Step #6 – Glue up the message ribbon
Add some glue on the blue message ribbon. After that, add star stickers on both sides of it and finally, put that all together on your card.
Optional: If you don’t have star stickers, you can make or simply draw them by yourself.

BABY BOY CARD IDEA #2 – SHEEP ROCKING RIDER

Baby sheep rocking rider card idea

This is definitely my favorite baby greeting card. Maybe because it’s easiest to make or maybe because it’s minimalistic, I’m not sure. However, I love it! Here comes the step-by-step tutorial.

Supplies you need for the sheep rocking rider baby card:

  • Gray Cardstock (This is for the base)
  • One Sheep Rocking Rider Sticker
  • White Sheet of Paper
  • Glue (Any Kind)
  • Blue & White Wooden Crayons
  • Bubble Sheet
  • Pen, Scissors & Ruler

STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL FOR SHEEP ROCKING RIDER CARD (See photos below):

Step #1 – Make the basis for the card
Take a gray cardstock and fold it in half. This is the base of your card.
Step #2 – Cut out the cloud shape
Use a white sheet of paper to make a cloud. Measures depend on the size of your card. In my case, the width was 8 cm and the height was 5 cm.
Use the blue crayon to draw the dashed edges on the cloud.
Optional: You can simply draw a cloud shape on your card. I made one because it looks nicer when separated from the card.

Tip: You can have the same cloud shape that I have used, as well as the sheep rocking rider sticker. All you have to do is subscribe to my blog at the end of the post and get the printable free

Step #3 – Cut out bubble sheet
I’ve used a bubble sheet to lift the cloud from the card. You can use felt or other material if you don’t have one.
Step #4 – Glue up cloud shape
Add the cloud shape at the top of your card. I was measuring 0.5 cm from the top edges. Try to define the middle position.
Step #5 & #6 – Add a sheep rocking rider sticker & draw the ropes
The position depends on the size of a sticker you have. Try to add it in the middle of the greeting card.

Tip: You can have the same sheep rocking rider sticker that I have used. All you have to do is subscribe to my blog at the end of the post and get the printable free

Use the white crayon to draw the ropes between the sticker and the cloud shape.
