Today I’m sharing with you an idea on how to make a pastel paper rainbow card using patterned paper, die cuts, and silicone stamps.
Most of the time when working on my card making projects I use patterned paper and lately, I’m totally obsessed with pastel colors. And paper cutting is my thing. I think I could do it for hours! Before I had my die-cutting machine I used to hand cut all my embellishments. Yet, two weeks ago I got my Sizzix die-cutter and I must confess that it’s a lot of fun for me.
This pastel paper rainbow card was my first project using a die-cutting machine. I’ll be showing you how I made it with the step-by-step instructions in the photos below as you’re already used to. But I’ll soon start with video tutorials since it makes writing blog posts much easier. Plus I also think that it makes it easier for you to follow the crafting.
How-to instructions (look at the photos below):
Step 1: Cut out six hearts, ribbons, and a cloud using a die-cutting machine.
Step 2: Glue up the small foam pieces on each cutout.
Step 3: Glue up all the pieces on your card base so that the last heart slightly sticking out from the card base. Then using a pen make a sketch for the frame; try to leave space between the frame and the ribbon, as well as between the frame and the last heart.
Step 4: Highlight the frame using a black marker and add a silicone stamp saying in the bottom right corner of your card.
And that’s it! In just four easy steps you can make this cute pastel paper rainbow hearts card!
